I have to admit I was pretty bummed when I did my Ending (The Star) and Kerry had to dump me to stay in the city (which i get it).

(That and Johnny and Kerry's interactions were always funny too xD)Īnd when you need to call your Romance partner on before the final mission, I was so happy seeing his name shows up there. Then Kerry shows up, and not just I get to know more of him but abt the past and Johnny's past and it's amazing how the story unfolds on each side quest, ultimately leading to that heart-to-heart talk on the boat, and you see how much he changed during his life and how he's ready for a new chapter. I didn't know he was an option to romance at first, and I tried w/ River but my Male V wasn't his preference so I was like ''.really? There's no one there for my gay V then 😔*.?'*'. Such a chaotic person, but the feelings run deep there. Oh yes, I fell in love w/ Kerry that way too. But man did CDPR do an excellent job making me care deeply for these two. Now I want nothing more than to survive, and make it home safely to Kerry so they can live happily ever after. Earlier in my playthrough, I didn't care what happened to him as long as I had fun in the process. I kinda made V a goofy meme at character creation, but this has completely changed what I want out of the end of the game. both these dudes are smooth as hell, and I'm here for it. And then that rooftop kiss, the sunset yacht ride, the explosive finish to the evening. It's still there of course, but watching Kerry drop his guard and soften to V was delightfully endearing. (not to mention the overall feel of 'getting the band back together' was spot-on).Īnd then, once you've got a quiet moment away from the spotlight, that rockstar persona starts to fade. Each of his side missions were an absolute blast! I got a couple friends who've been in rock bands, and they were telling me how this is exactly the sort of childish, petty shit they would get up to. Kerry is like an ageless chaotic rocker who just wants to break shit and have a good time, which I am all for. I love how multi-faceted the Kerry romance storyline is. I haven't fully completed the game yet, so don't tell me where things end up!
